Netflix to adapt Sega's Crazy Taxi and Sonic in new deal

Streaming giant Netflix has signed a new partnership with Japanese company Sega, Engadget reports. Under the agreement, the platform plans to create several projects based on Sega's famous video game franchises.

The collaboration includes an all-new animated series set in the Sonic universe. While Sonic is no stranger to Netflix, this deal aims to expand the franchise even further.

Crazy Taxi and Stranger than Heaven

Alongside the animated series, Netflix plans to produce live-action feature films. According to Engadget, Sega's cult game Crazy Taxi is set to receive a full-length movie adaptation.

Additionally, the project Stranger than Heaven has been included in the partnership between Netflix and Sega, with plans to turn it into a feature film as well.

Video game adaptations remain a key component of Netflix's strategy, giving gamers and film fans the chance to experience Sega's popular universes in new ways.
