Apple Watch Ultra 4 review: Is the flagship worth buying?

Tech publication Wired has published a review of Apple's latest smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra 4. According to the outlet, while the new flagship features refined health monitoring and extended battery life, the standard Series 12 launched alongside it serves as a fully sufficient alternative for most users.
Apple's premium Ultra smartwatch traditionally stands out for its high durability and specific capabilities. In the new generation, as Wired notes, the system has become considerably smarter when tracking health parameters. Additionally, one of the watch's key advantages — battery autonomy — has been improved, allowing the device to operate for longer between charges.
Growing competition from Series 12
Despite the achievements of the Ultra 4, the review emphasises that the standard Series 12 has come very close to the flagship model in terms of capabilities. The gap between them has narrowed so much that for everyday use, the base version fully meets the demands of most consumers.
As a result, the Ultra 4 remains appealing primarily to those who require maximum battery life and peak accuracy for health data, whereas the standard Series 12 proves to be a far more sensible choice for the average user.
